Chambers and Partners

July 24, 2023

The Chambers and Partners 2023 rankings were released last week and we are pleased to announce that we have again been ranked!

What did we rank for?

Amazing news for our team as the firm has been ranked again as  Band 1 for Private Wealth Disputes in the North East & Yorkshire for 2023.

CEO and Founder Martin Holdsworth holds his Band 1 ranking for individual, and Richard Thomas, who has been with the firm since day one has been ranked for another year running in ‘up and coming’ – well deserved to both.

What did the referees have to say?

Along with the rankings for this prestigious award, the comments from the referees for the firm and both Martin and Richard are rather fabulous too!

“At IDR there’s always someone available to discuss a matter and they very much work together as a cohesive team.”

Martin Holdsworth is the founding director of the firm. “Martin is excellent, a safe pair of hands, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.”

Richard Thomas is a partner in the firm’s private wealth disputes practice. “Richard Thomas is a very good lawyer. He is great on technicalities of litigation and very sensible in negotiating settlements. In addition, Thomas has great business acumen and a creative attitude. He is a very competent and able lawyer providing hands-on service.” “Richard is extremely bright and drafts witness statements beautifully, which is a real skill. He is a very sharp, clever and good litigator.”

The growth continues

Its a continual stream of highs for IDR, as last month we announced the private equity funding we received from the British Growth Fund to support our growth plans.

Over the next year we look to use the funding to invest in industry-leading talent and proprietary legal tech, as well as expanding our office network to the Midlands, North East and London.

The key product we are bringing to market within the next four weeks is version two of the IDR Claim Checker, a tool that assesses the strength of claims within minutes, as well as providing useful information to support with the triage of enquiries.
